Karen’s focus has been in the Appaloosa industry, training, showing, instructing youth and non-pro’s and as a breeder. Karen has also worked with other breeds and disciplines including dressage, hunters and jumpers.

Clients are the focus of Karen’s business and she prepares a program for each individual based on their experience level and goals.

Some of the shows that Karen attends with clients are the Lakes Region Show Series which is a series of open shows in Belmont, NH, great for those just starting out, or those interested in single day shows. Another one day show that clients have been enjoying is the Hunter/Jumper shows at The Tack Shack.

Karen also attends all of the Appaloosa shows in New England, which are in Maine, Connecticut, New Hampshire, and Massachusetts. The Appaloosa shows are all multi-day shows and are ApHC approved. Some of the other Appaloosa shows that Karen attends based on client interest are Gordyville, Venice, FL, and of course Appaloosa Nationals and Appaloosa Worlds.

Chinquapin Hill also has Paints and Quarter Horses in the barn and attends shows to coach these clients as well.
